Rangers get a bunch of picks and a 4th liner/13th forward who still have some offensive upside. I bring him in NYR cause I see him as an offensive minded bottom sixer to provide competition for Vitali Kravtsov.

I like all of this minus the Carolina trade....Just doesn't make sense for us. Way too much for what is in practice a 3rd pair guy. I mean that's a price you'd maybe pay for better young players like Weegar/Dermott/etc.

You're getting Fleury and a cap dump.

Rest looks great though. Nice job!

A very good number 5 and a very good bottom sixer for a player who'll never be more than a 3rd liner IMO and a 2nd rounder. Might want to get a 4th from CAR maybe?

Would you trust such a bottom 6 with secondary scoring?

I don't think I'd give a 2nd for anyone who wouldn't play in my top 4/6 when I'm rebuilding. Much less more than that.

Again, just looking at what you're giving away, what you're getting is not nearly enough. That's OK. Just either back up your offer (not sure why you're targeting McGinn over Martinook though) or pick a different target.

A Kravtsov/Faksa/Gauthier 3rd line would be dangerous...... at both ends.

I'd take PDG >>>>>>>> McGinn. Which makes the trade idea even more puzzling.

Would you be down with a Adersson vs Fleury swap or something along those lines?

sure that's cool. Value wise that's a lot closer than what was proposed originally.

Don't love Fleury in general. He was absolutely terrible the one season he had legit playing time in a non-sheltered role (17-18). Since then he's been like Freddy Claesson putting up some solid metrics in smaller sample sizes. Claesson is a decent comparison for Fleury.
