Abdelkader is terrible but idk, it's easier to scratch him or bury him in the A or just play him on the 4th line, if Jones doesn't rebound you're really stuck with him.

No need for the hawks to trade down, they could make that trade to NJ if they wish. Although I think they'll be able to get his full contract off the books.

Toronto declines. They wont trade 2 picks for a guy who might not even be a full time roster player for them

Wait wait. Sorensen doesn’t make your lineup?! Haha. Easily makes that team and could flourish if he was to jump into andres spot

But could they get a 50 point scorer who alongside your offensive build would have potential to go off

Edit: no they can’t.

50 point scorer with 20 points on the power play and an inflated shooting percentage of 13.1% that he'll likely never touch again...

Interesting idea for Detroit. Risk would be if Jones sucks again , we’d be stuck with his contract for an extra year at a higher cap hit (extra 1 mil). Reward would be Jones having a bounce back year so we have a potential plug until we get a long term option. I would decline because I don’t see Jones playing better especially behind Detroit’s defence and would rather just bury Abdelkader.

I can’t imagine any team would trade down 20 spots to get Labanc. Certainly not out of the top ten either.

Detroit doesn't do this. Jones cap hit is $1.5M more a season than Abdelkader and Jones has an extra year. That's $10.25 more cap than Abdelkader.
