Why are Leafs still obsessed with the NYI about Tavares?

Nah, Isles have moved on. He will still get heckled at home games but the team has been better since he left, and have a new stadium coming which Barzal will star in for the next 10 years.

hard to poke fun when the islanders beat the penguins to advance and the Leafs haven't made it out of the first round in how long?.... but hey not my pig not my farm

In fairness, that pens team absolutely blew that series and gave it to NYI. They didn’t show up. Out of all the first round matches last year. Pens and Tampa had the largest advantage and both absolutely blew it

i completely agree but my point was... its hard to look down at a team or "poke fun" when they have had more success

im was so excited when the penguins lost then we lost to Carolina ….. wah wah wahhhhhhh

I still think in the grand scheme of things, the leafs will have more success than Isles over the length of the Tavares contract

same likelihood, only people like to say Matthews more because they don't like the leafs (not complaining about that, thats just how it is)

you've crossed the line. don't bring the moustache into this, it is the reason why he took such a big step forward this year

Also, what makes Matthews more likely to go home than McDavid?
