The very last thing the Wild need is another left shot wing (unless it's Laf).

Minnesota declines. We have no room for Killorn on our roster. Already have Parise, Hopefully Kaprizov, Greenway, and Foligno on LW. And Fiala, Zucc, Kunin, and Hartman at RW. Plus we also have Donato and need to find out where to play him. This trade would just complicate that more.

MTL as no need on another small player... better stick with Armia.
Sergachev should get OS @ 6-7M a year... TB can't match it
Van has not interest in getting TJ as they would have their own issue next year when Petty goes RFA 10M/y
and I agree Minny are not contender... send Killhorn in MTL instead for Lehky
Without saying that DeMelo would sign for more$$$
Sorry redo it!

Gourde's got a full NTC so... yeah, it's gonna be a really funny off-season for BriseBois

VAN declines

Agreed. VAN doesn't have the cap space to fit a 5M contract for 4 more years and re-up Pettersson, Demko, and Quinn in 2 years on a flat cap.

...and Johnson has a full NTC until next year in June.

...and Gourde has a NTC clause too.

Depending on how he wants to play this, he could get petty with Gourde and send him down to AHL since it's a NTC and not an NMC. I believe I'm correct in that? Which might force Gourde to waive but I just don't see a GM wanting to hurt their reputation like that. Going to be very interesting this offseason

Yeah i don't see Minnesota being on Alex Killorn's 14 team trade list, Tyler Johnson doesn't want to play in Canada so Vancouver is a no go. Besides they can't afford him for 4 more years at $5 million per anyways. Doubt Montreal has any interest in that Gourde contract it's pretty atrocious right now.

OTT declines. Far too many options for them at LHD already.

Demelo declines. He'll be looking for way more term and somewhere around DOUBLE that money. And he'll get it.

You are correct in that they could do this.

But also if Gourde agrees to waive his NTC there are teams that will take him. I have said on here multiple times this year he is on the 4th line for his defense and checking abiliity because he is the only winger on the Lightning that can play this style but at the end of the year when Stamkos went down and Point was missing games he moved to the 2nd and 3rd lines and put up 11 points in 16 games (60 point pace). Its his situation in Tampa that has hurt his offense numbers but give him more minutes and he will get you 20goals and 50points. He is in a very similar situation to JT Miller last year with the Lightning (Miller was stuck on the 3rd line) before he was traded and got an expanded role. The LIghtning won't get a huge return for Gourde like Miller but some teams would take him.

So does Johnson. And oh yeah, so does Coburn. Not gonna be easy for Tampa.

Totally agree the similar to JT in how they were used in Tampa...but this situation is different. JT never has the NTC that Gourde does. I don't think we can look past the fact that if you're Gourde, you really don't want to waive that NTC. I mean, you're in Tampa...there's no state income tax...you're on one the best cup contenders in the league...would you waive your NTC? If I have 1 or 2 years left on my contract I would so I could go to a team and prove again that I'm really a top line player....but with 4 years left you can be patient and collect that paycheck on the 4th line while hopefully collecting rings. Even if the trade is to another cup contender, it's really hard to pass up staying with the Bolts...unless BriseBois forces you in some way (aka send down to AHL).

I wont even talk about the trades. You have a 21 man roster, 75k in cap space and 500k in bonouses and tampa can't afford any overages into next year. This doesn't work

I dont think any of these teams agree to the above trades for reasons already stated.

After giving all these players on Tampa NTC and NMC and having them buy into their system... why would any of them wanna leave on their own?

I understand that Gourde would have to waive that is why I stated as much... but everything I was saying was in regards to if Gourde would waive for a team that wants him the Lightning would be able to trade him for a draft pick or something like that. I think there are teams that would be interested in him, whether he is interested in the teams interested in him I cannot say.

Waive to be put in the AHL. If there is an AHL season next year....if not then paying him to sit home and still having all but $1,075,000 count against the cap really doesn't save much when you consider a replacement on minimum salary (750k) means only a 325k savings. Then there's the whole minimum salary guy vs Gourde effectiveness argument. So I doubt any GM pulls that. You have to be a former 20 goal scorer prior that is putting up 0 goals now....someone like https://www.capfriendly.com/players/justin-abdelkader say.
