I don't think they were going to sign Hamonic regardless.

I'd be shocked if they re-sign Forbort, because then it's a 3rd rounder. If they make the conference final, then you gladly surrender the 3rd

Those lines are interchangeable the Lucic - Ryan - Dube line just had synergy. There is totally a case where Bennett plays top 6 if Lindholm is moved to 2C

I mean it is close. If the Jets player forwards play like 2017-18 again then yeah but if not it's closer then a lot think tbh

The back to back will be very interesting. The team that's taken advantage of the layoff and perhaps taken it more seriously will win.

Either way its hard to be disappointed whether you win or lose in this scenario. Yeah 12.5% odds aren't crazy or anything but those are pretty decent when you considering you would be selecting a franchise altering player. Either way, I am just super excited to see some hockey back on the TV and then with how quick everything would be turning around, December 1st will be here in no time and we will have a brand new 82 game season. Definitely exciting times.

It's really going to be a coin-toss in all of the series IMO. It's going to be nearly 5 months between games for all clubs, teams that were hot in March probably won't be in August. It's essentially a new season and it could be anyone's cup, could be the best playoff ever

Exactly. The only teams that lose out are teams that are in the qualifying round that don't have their first round pick

If next season starts in December/January (it's a big if right now because of what's happening in the US), I doubt it will be a full 82 game season.

If they get a season going, it's going to be shortened based on what we know atm.

can't say I'm a fan of this guy.

The whole cap is reflective on them finishing the season and salaries are dependent on it.
Opting out without some kind of actual medical reason is a pretty low ball thing. Everyone else has to go out there in order to make sure that they can keep their salary as high as possible. People ducking aren't really being team players. Not only for CGY but the whole league.

If everyone ducked it there would be big ramifications for their salaries next year.
Maybe he figures he's a UFA so it doesn't matter for him, or that he wants to avoid injury or whatever. But if that's the case. I hope people pass up on him next year at FA.
No better than anyone else who has to lace up. So you better have a damn good excuse not to.

But both the Islanders' and the Canucks' picks are protected
