Three Boeser Trades

Created by: Cham
Team: 2020-21 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 11, 2020
Published: Jul. 11, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If the hawks win the play ins and can’t get a RW like Jack Quinn or Alexander Holtz then apparently Boeser is on the block and can be the top 6 RW the hawks need.

Note that the first trade even though they’re both up in a year Saad will cost less on his next deal since he’s 4 years older and not as good (but still a 2nd line LW).

Also for the second trade I’m not completely sure how the hawks would figure out the cap but they could potentially trade Smith, Sign Kubalik, Strome, and/or Lehner to lower cap hits, or Shaw may be on LTIR.

Trades
1.
CHI
  1. Boeser, Brock
Additional Details:
If the Canucks just are moving him because he’ll be up in a year then the hawks can offer a mid round pick, a D prospect with top 4 potential, a F prospect with NHL potential, and a rental in Brandon Saad to fill in their top 6 until Podkolzin or whoever can slot in.
VAN
2.
CHI
  1. Eriksson, Loui
Additional Details:
Brock Boeser

If the Canucks need cap relief they could try and work something out where they move Loui Eriksson and in return get Seabrook if he agrees to be placed on LTIR or retire (assuming both wave NMC’s). This gives the Canucks ~12M in cap space and the hawks a different Seabrook with two less years. Along with cap relief the Canucks get a 1st round pick for Boeser and potential a lower level prospect or two.

This trade also would likely involve Saad getting traded somewhere else for cap reasons.
VAN
  1. Seabrook, Brent
Additional Details:
2020 1st round pick
3.
CHI
    Brock Boeser

Another trade if the Canucks want cap space and prospects or if Eriksson or Seabrook don’t waive their NMC’s could involve a mid round 1st, a forward with top 6 potential and a defensman (could also be Regula) with top 4 potential.

I'm not moving Boeser unless someone like Boqvist is coming back. I'm not sure he'll be a Canucks by the end of his deal, but they shouldn't rush to move him now unless a quality D is coming back.

Get real, Hardly any of these deals give the Canucks the cap relief they need to resign both Markstrom and Toffoli and possibly Tanev as well.
