Either of these trades close? Who needs to add and where. Canucks team is now worry free for Cap as well as Seattle Expansion. $20.5 Million to sign Petey ($10.5 million roughly) and Hughes ($7-8.5 million?)

Just dont think it hits the needs for the avs.. top 6 winger is good, but expensive dman we dont need and downgrade at goalie also not a good move for us and when you throw in the first it's not smart..

You're sending us what 13 mill in salary and taking back 5?

Pointless trade for Colorado. They end up worse in goal, with another dman they don’t need and an often injured forward. And as @JeffW points out we take on a boat load of salary. Easy pass.

How about Francouz instead of Grub. Take out the 1st replace with a 2nd?

No bc Myers is pointless with a terrible contract. Avs want nothing to do with that anchor

As @coga16 @JeffW and @Xqb15 have pointed out, Myers contract makes this unworkable. We already have one slightly inflated RHD contract in Johnson, and once Makar signs (for around $9m presumably) we'd have around $21m committed to just 3 RHD's which is totally unworkable.

Boeser is a good player, but absolutely not a guy who's worth gutting our cap structure for, especially if we're also downgrading in net and giving up prime futures.

So we would be giving up more in salary differential.. as long as Myers is in the deal I dont think it's a workable trade just because the avs dont have really any bad contracts to send the other way.. everyone is either at an amazing or fair rate for their production
