Edmonton doesn't get the pick back after Green gets hurt playing for them when it had nothing to do with any previous existing injury. Detroit went through this with Erik Cole whose injury 11 games after the deadline was related to a previous injury.

As many have said that’s the risk you take and I’m sure Holland knows Green pretty well. It’s not something Green took lightly but with his history of infections almost killing him and young children, why risk it? Trust me Detroit fans get it with all of our “lottery luck”.
