Avs would you consider this

I don't like the idea of trading Price but want Price to win a cup and this seems like the best option. It also improves the Avs chances of winning in the next 1-3 years.

I dont think so! Maybe the Avs do but I think they seriously consider it. They would acquire one of the best goalies in the game with 2.5 Mil retained as a replacement for their 36 yo starter. They could always flip him if cap space became an issue. There are rumours that Seattle would like to take him. 3 years of Price with the lineup they already have makes for an interesting prospect from the Avs point of view.

Avs fans said a thousand times they are ok with their goalies, want nothing to do with a declining Price and that Timmins is untouchable.Where were you?

Tl:dr; Your "idea" is unoriginal and unrealistic

1. NO ONE is untouchable for the right price only an idiot would claim such a thing! Gretzky was move FFS!

2. They may claim to be ok with their goalies but any real GM around the league would always look to upgrade any position on his team and Price would be an upgrade.

3. I never once said this trade was original! As for realistic I guess that depends on your point of view. Do the Avs think that Grubauer at age 37-39 is the guy that is going to win them a cup in the next 3 years before they start to have serious cap issues. I don't think they do, I think Sakic is already looking to upgrade his goalie and he would most definitely consider Price as a top option.

Not really remotely close for the Rangers on that trade.

How so? Mete + 2nd is great value for a 13-20 pick

Take a look at the chart.

https://bluebulletreport.com/2019/06/05/2018-19-draft-model-update-part-iii-blue-bullet-draft-pick-value-chart/

Stl pick is about pick 57-60. To get to equal value of pick 13 that would cost about that pick + 15.

Do you want to try to argue that Mete is worth anywhere near the 15th oa pick? It wouldn't be a sensible argument.

If we're being honest, the trade would be a lot closer to value if you swapped Mete with Domi lol. That's about how far off it is.

Even to get the Rangers later pick (around 23) that would cost the STL pick in addition to 30th OA. Mete isn't near that value either. Mete has about the same value as the STL pick itself.

Mete's fine, but his value is around Lias Andersson/Howden and a mid-round pick to the Rangers.

I love how you like to criticize everyone else's posts but you rarely post your own AGM! At least I am trying to have fun and enjoy the site for what it is instead of trying to make myself feel better for my lame existence by criticizing everyone else!

1. You are right
2. Grubauer took them to game 7 of semi’s with a .925 and is just fine.
3. Did Grubauer suddenly age a decade he is 28, makes $7M less than Price so yeah COL has zero interest in Price and his $10M contract for the next 6 years

Gretzky asked for a trade

Price is a downgrade right now from grubauer.. a few years ago it was a really nice upgrade

Prices' contract with his declining play has actually given him negative value. MTL fans are the only people who see his value because hes already costing them 10.5 mill per.. the only price trade I can see is 1 for 1 with bobrovsky... I also think you've realised that hes not 36yrs old by now

I also think that domi's value went down as he publically stated he doesnt like it in MTL

1 Price has not really declined his play has been a result of a really bad defense in front of him over the last 3 years.

2 Where did Domi say he didn't like Montreal? Link please.

It's the third time I see this and I cant figure out where the **** it came from. Trust me in MTL, when a player fart its front page next day, if Domi really said this it would have been all over the news especially now since they don't have a lot to talk about. Yet, they never even mention a hint of this. I also saw him on multiple interview said how much he loves it here, how he is greatful to play in a big hockey city etc etc.

I dont post AGM all the time because my standard are higher I guess. Good trade ideas are hard. Bad trade ideas are easy.

Sadly you seems to have a very common syndrome: Overevaluating our team's players and underevaluating the other team's.

Avs dont want anything to do with Price and his contract and they are certainly not giving away a top defence prospect for it. They have two good and cheap goalies. Their capspace will be prioritised for what they lack: foward depth.

You would know that if you interested yourself into other teams needs instead of your own and read other AGMs that discussed those points over and over again in the last year.

Could make it a 2021 1st but Jets would likely have to add another 3rd

If Petry is signed at that $ amount, I think another 3rd is reasonable
