Domi is a winger. Can he play C? sure. Thats not where he is best however. The top 8-10 players in thi draft all have serious chance of making roster out of respective team camps. Especially with the NHL starting in December aka extra development time. Mete is good but lots of question marks and I would much rather have samuelsson over him. OHHHH and back to Domi, you called him a 60 pt guy? Hes had one season where that would be true. All the other seasons he averages out at about 45.

He is better at C than the wing, with the habs he had 72pts playing center and almost 50 (44) before the end of the season playing with 3rd liners.

Samuelsson is going to be a good dman soon. He's already got the size and strength. That 1st could be ready as early as next year to make an impact. I think it depends on whether the Habs should even try to be competing this year and next? IMO This past season showed that we're not ready anytime soon. They need some of their prospects to make the jump first. 20-21 will be about Romanov, Caulfield, Poehling, Kotkaniemi etc, proving that. Until then, more missing the playoffs.

I don't know much about Samuelsson, so it might skew my evaluation of the trade. What is his ceiling?

I am sorry but u sound like an idiot. Name one player who was drafted outside the top 5 that contributed in the nhl right away. It just doesn’t happen. And if u are expecting that then u are in for massive disappointment. They need time to grow. Unless they are generational talent like Matthews, Jack, McDavid, dahlin. They just can’t handle the nhl. Especially at a tough position like center.

He was second round pick. He has great size. He projects to be physical shutdown dman. Big shot but I don’t think he will be big offensive guy. But he develop that game.

We only need him to play center for a year to year and half max. Once cozens is ready he will take over 2c. Then we will move him to the Wing.

You are nuts. First line would be one the best in nhl. And second line would be in top ten beat second lines. Defense is solid and I think Ullmark will have a great year if he stays healthy.

No Boston has the best top line until Patrice retires or drops off. Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart was a top 5 line in the league when they played together. Don't like that Montreal trade, I would like Domi and sure if he costs the 8th OA so be it but swapping Mete and Samuelsson is terrible. Samuelsson is a blue chip prospect, Mete is a fringe 2nd pair puck mover. Mattias will be a much better player
dzmets liked this.
