Buffalo can’t be trading away the few good forwards they have.

Buffalo say no to that.

What is the Rangers trade supposed to achieve? Calvert is better than Lemieux and Kaut for Chytil feels unnecessary given our center depth. Let's give Kaut a chance before trading him, he looks like a solid player.

I see a fair amount of Reinhart proposals. In my opinion, he's not a guy the Avs should be targeting. He's a good player, but I think he needs favorable starts and match ups to produce at his current level, and he probably wouldn't be getting that to the same extent in Colorado. Someone like Dadonov or Toffoli would be a better fit (IMO), and they wouldn't cost a fortune to acquire.

Not sure I understand the motivation for the NYR trade.

Reinhardt would be a fine fit on our 2nd line as a playmaker for Burakovsky and Kadri and should definitely be someone we look at if he's available.

He also doesn't get that many more oZS's compared to Burakovsky so I don't see why that would be an issue if he's played on the 2nd line.

Burakovsky 55.4 oZS%
Kadri 53.2 oZS%
Reinhardt 58.5 oZS% (56.3 in his career)

The Hockey Reference stats are FO only. I tend to look at Natural Stat Trick more, as it also includes on the fly starts (69% and 63% for Reinhardt the past two years). That said, you might have a point, as I checked Burakovsky and his was reasonable high as well last season (58%).

Still though, I would prefer to have a guy that can be utilized in all scenarios. It would be especially useful come playoff time. If Reinhardt was a UFA then it could be something I'd be into. Considering he'd probably cost a lot, I would say look elsewhere.

Fair point, and I tend to agree that a two-way guy would be ideal. Someone like Killorn makes a tonne of sense as he'll be pretty cheap to acquire due to Tampa's cap situation and his 16 team NTC, and he can play PK and PP and also a gritty playoff style.

Yeah I'm starting to warm up to Killorn a little. Hall, Cirelli, and Danault/Tatar continue to be my favorite options, but Killorn is not a bad one. I wouldn't pay the prices some Tampa fans are suggesting though, that's for sure.

Why are there so many posts sending Kamenev to the Rangers? Is there a link there I do not know about?

I know the Buffalo respondents hate the trade, but I could see a path.
Would you consider:
Graves, Ryan [RFA Rights]
Compher, JT
2020 3rd round pick (TML)
