Wild trade scenarios part 2

Created by: Rob32sjsharks

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Jones biggest issue was not his decline but a decline in our defense, a change of scenery and better coaching may save him and Detroit get a huge haul to take on that risk!
The rest of the trades are all fairly close to What I have seen on other AGM’s and I feel are fairly reasonable.

This is prying the window open for 2 more years tor try and get a cup for Joe and Marleau.

I think the Leafs and Rangers trades are about on point value-wise, but the other two aren't there. You're looking at a much heftier price tag for Kahun, and getting rid of Jones like that costs more to us than I think is worth.

I'd also suggest scrapping Shattenkirk, and signing Heed or Rutta instead.

As a Ranger fan I would do that trade. In fact I think it's a little generous, as I'd probably take a 1st for Strome and Labanc for Georgiev, leaving the 3rd as a bonus.

No interest in trading Kahun for the Sabres unless it is in a package for 2C.

Easy no from Detroit. Jones has 4 seasons left at $5.75M a 1st and a 2nd isn't going to move Jones. Detroit has 5 goalie prospects that are on par or better than Emond.

The Leafs would not trade him for 3rd rounder. Thats literally a waste of fringe top-6 winger.

I like Heed but Shattenkirk is a solid two way D man and he will help with playoffs more than a heed or Rutta will

He’s and undersized Undrafted kid but has upside I was curious but don’t know a whole lot about him
What would be his asking price?

I don't see the Sabres making a deal for him on his own. Possibly as a piece to help bring back a top 6 forward. He is a likely 50 point middle six player on a value contract likely for the next few years. Those type of players are very valuable with a flat cap. A hypothetical for the Sharks would be Kahun, Sabres 2021 first top 5 protected, Pilut for Meier or Hertl

Fair but with sharks looking for A retool not rebuild this trade senario is unlikely but you offered a reasonable trade imo

Agreed if Shattenkirk was getting paid 2 million max. 3.345 is way more than I'd personally pay for a 3rd pairing defensman.

He’s more a top 4 guy and would be 2nd pairing on power play and penalty kill and help shelter the younger guys and Vlassic
I would love him at 2.24-2.8 but to get him we’re paying closer to what I posted
