Description

How can Col play roster Jenga, sign Hall and Pietrangelo, have cap flexibility and contend for the cup?

TB / Col / NJ trade - TB rebuilds blue line on the fly and stays cap compliant. Col gets out of $7-8M in salary. NJ gets 2 established top 9 players for dropping 20 spots in a just ok draft year. They can then roll out Nico/Hughes/Cirelli, put Donskoi on the 2nd or 3rd line and buys out Colburn. --A little sweetener can be sent to TB if needed, but they would be swapping out a position of strength to really bolster their blueline.

Col/Ott - Salary Dump. OTT gets Compher for 3C and can flip/keep/buyout Cole (again).

Col has $4M for a 1-2 year D-man deal if they think Byram/Timmons is not ready.

21-22 - Leaves $20M for Landy/Makar/Gruby and the kids have a year to show where they will all fit in + another $2-4M coming off due to expansion draft.

I don't know what's worse, thinking you'll sign hall and pietrangelo or that Tampa trade for Cirelli.

Not enough for Cirelli, other teams could offer better package than the one you suggested and besides, he's the last RFA players the Bolts would want to get rid.

Yeah try more like $24 million for Cirelli, Hal and Pietrangelo Cirelli 5x6 Hall 7x9 and Pietrangelo 7x9 good luck resigning both Landy and Makar next season. Cirelli stays in Tampa for 5x5.

Avs and Lightning are getting screwed in that 3 way deal. Avs give up Graves, Zadorov, Donskoi, + 2020 1st and all they get back is VANs 1st? NJD gets Cirelli, Donskoi, Coburn just to swap 1st round picks? Am I missing something?

If you want Hall, trade Landeskog. Doesn't make sense to be paying north of 7 for 3 wingers, I also worry about how Landeskog will age in his next deal
