Glad you didn't cash dump Johnsson like 99% of ACGM's do.

Kerfoot should be the odd man out, not a fan, he just isn't a good fit.

Sounds like you both had Kadri aspirations for Kerfoot, in the long run info think Kerf works out, last season was a misfit year with the coach change, Kerfoot playing all over bottom and top 6 so any thought of consistency should be tossed out the window

Chaisson pretty much sucks everywhere except the powerplay. And R.McLeod isnt a full time NHLer.

Also thats an insane overpay for a mediocre defenseman like Severson. I dont understand all the hype that Leafs fans put on him.

Engvall for Lyubushkin is a solid trade but I dont think the Leafs will trade him after giving him an extension this season.

Kerfoot fits the Leafs a lot better because he plays good defense and solid offense

I'll take Johnsson over Kerfoot any day. One will have to go if they want to add to the D core.

The Leafs have Spezza, Goat, Engval and Brooks, I'd spend 3.5 million on those 4 to play 3-5 center over spending 3.5 million alone on Kerfoot. He is easily replaceable. Oh... and Johnsson is just as good defensively as Kerfoot and both players are 40-50 point guys, hence both getting an equal contract.

between Johnsson and Kerfoot, IF Johnsson recovers from that injury 100%, he is better kept on the team. 3rd line centers are easy and cheap to find, 20 goal scoring wingers are a little harder to find.

Agreed, where did all the love for Johnsson go. I believe if the Leafs are able to keep him in the core(flat cap will hurt), he will get back to being a 20-25 goal scorer. He is great on the forecheck using his speed.

Dubas has invested alot of time on Johnsson watching him grow from Marlies to Leafs, I believe Dubas stays loyal to him and finds another team to take Kerfoot.

Johnsson's defense is no where near Kerfoot's defense. Kerfoot was argueably the Leafs best defensive forward this year, while Johnsson was one of the worse defensive forwards on the team
