DeBrusk said he is seeking 5.5 to 6 million and not taking any discounts

Someone will overpay Krug.

That Boeser trade is as unrealistic as the Moore trade.

When? All I’ve seen was some article from haggerty, who obviously doesn’t know what the heck he’s talking about. In the era of covid, it’s legit laughable to think he wants 6 million. He’ll bridge. He’ll bridge cheap, and he’ll hope that the cap has gone up by the time he’s up again. It probably won’t have unfortunately.

That's long-term; in this thread, it's a bridge deal.

First off no, no he didn't. The $6 million number was thrown out there by Bob Stauffer (Oilers TV Analyst). DeBrusk agent when asked about a hometown discount said “I don’t really consider that at this point. Will it play into it? Maybe.”

DeBrusk himself has said his focus isn't on a contract right now and doesn't really want to talk about it until after the playoffs are over.

Bruins arent giving up all that for Boeser.
Moore wont get you a 4th
Studnicka has a roster spot
Krug deal is too long and a bit too little money

Not horrid, but needs a bit of work

Value wise thats an overpayment on the bruins part.

Totally get if the pieces dont work out for you guys though. Bruins dont wanna give up that either so it needs to be reworked

Vaakanainen and a 1st is a good start. But yes the offer needs more gusto.

You should read that article. The 2019 UNH graduate that wrote that pile of crap doesn’t say anything like what you say. Essentially, you took an article from a crap writer who has zero sources, other than an even worse writer in joe haggerty, and then you didn’t even read the article. Rough take dude. Rough take.

So your saying agent didnt say that he will not take a discount.
I am not saying I am accepting it but I'm not ready to dismiss it.

That is correct. He did not say that. The really bad writer who’s article you must have skimmed quoted him directly. I would say you should give that a read.

Maybe there’s some writer that just graduated college with a couple hundred followers on twitter who can write a really bad article that you can skim that will tell you what they’ll get. who knows, maybe they’ll both leave. What I do know is that his agent did not say what you seem to think he did, and his direct quote can be found in the crappy article you read.

DeBrusk is worth about $4M tops on a 2-3yr bridge.
He's an RFA so the team still has the hammer!!

His agent is doing his job tis-all;
from the Agent-101 Manual - page 1, task 1:
a) call the beat writer
b) feed him a story about his client w/ no leverage, and
c) collect 10% + expenses

I did not say that is what he is getting.
I merely point out something I read.

Not even asking you to believe it, merly that it is there to read.

It is going one of the most interesting offseasons ever, for the entire NHL. I look forward to it.

I wouldn’t have a problem if that were the case. But you didn’t read it. Literally your article completely contradicted what you posted. You either made it up, or really really skimmed the article.

It's not my article.
I did skim through, never said I didnt.

I merely wanted to have a conversation but that doesnt seem that is happening here.
Good day.

Well, you said this. Sorry, you just kinda boldly marched in talking like you had the inside scoop and bungled it. Good day indeed.

congrats you pointed to an article that said exactly what I said

"Unlike Marchand, Bergeron and Pastrnak, Debrusk’s agent said a hometown discount is not an option. “I don’t really consider that at this point. Will it play into it? Maybe.” said Rick Valette."

So he says its not an option, but then says it may come into play lol. His own agent is contradicting himself and DeBrusk himself has said he doesn't want to talk contract till after the playoffs.
