Don't judge the trade too seriously, this is more of a question. I don't know if my trade was even close

I mean its such a mute point because even if boston were to trade Carlo, they would never move him to division rivals Toronto.

If they had someone to replace him Nylander would be going the other way. But they don’t, so I don’t think they trade him

It would cost more than it's worth, imo.

Not possible. Honestly think they probably wouldn’t do it for Nylander. Of course, this offer is laughable, but i understand it wasn’t really meant to be a legit offer.

More than that. Even if you do make a fair offer value wise BOS would never trade him to the Leafs. It would take a big overpayment to move him in division

Carlo value is too low on the market is too low for the real value he has, he’s worth a lot, considering the type of hockey he play, the age, the contract, as a bruins fans I would trade him for a legitimate top6 forward (nylander) but money wise it don’t work

It would take a massive overpayment. Carlo is the exact defender that Toronto needs on the backend to become a legit contender and there isn't a chance that Boston forks that over without making sure it hurts Toronto.

Trading Nylander for Carlo would be like Hall for Larsson 2.0

I mean he's better than Larsson and Nylander isn't as valuable as Hall was at that time. But I agree that its too much.

Got it. Thanks. I was just trying to think of another cheaper (in $ not value) option to play with Rielly, but if it really would take Nylander then its probably too much for me to get on board with- not saying he is or isn't worth it, just saying I wouldn't do it

Yeah, just don't think he's worth what it would take, tbh. Not a huge fan. What you have above is not a far cry from what I'd be willing to offer.

Good news is, neither would the bruins, so no hard feelings.

More than he's worth, he's elite defensively but he's a negative overall impact lol

Bruins might lose Chara and Krug next season. They aren't trading Carlo to fulfill Leafs Nation fantasy of a RHD.

Yeah, no. Carlo still isn't worth Nylander. By your logic Toronto shoulda traded Nylander for Ceci then. Since Ceci was paired with Rielly. Great logic. Even though it has no impact on value whatsoever...
