    Funny I was thinking the same thing, I think Nichushkin could be an excellent replacement for Jagr, both big skilled powerforward Russians

    Replacement for Jagr??? He is going to play for another 10 years, and productively at that.

    Weeeeeeell, if I were Tom Rowe, I'd hedge my bets on that. Jágr may say he wants to play until he's 50, and he very well could pull a Gordie Howe, but Father Time is incredibly fickle in the when and how he catches up to people. Jágr could be productive at 55 or find himself unable to compete with the rest of the league at 45. Plus, unforeseeable accidents or injuries can wreck anybody's career, and Jágr will be much harder-pressed to recover from such occurrences at his age. Rowe would be smart to have a replacement option waiting in the wings.
