Maybe you should stop being so ignorant and start looking at those excel spreadsheets

Maybe you should quit posting garbage content that the vast majority of people disagree with. The disrespect to players like malkin, Drai, Eichal, is absolutely astonishing

So if the vast majority of people are ignorant like you, I should stop telling you guys the truth?

Jake is solid defensively. I watch him every night. It’s funny how it’s this fringe group of people on cap friendly that no one ever agrees with and just pulls players WAR stats for every argument. Jake is miles better than Bjorkstrand and so is PLD. Maybe a watch a game instead of looking at your excel sheets.

I don't know why you bother. But you're 100% right here.

You’re not telling the truth LMFAO. You are lost in your own world of excel spreadsheets. The disrespect to NHL superstars like Malkin, Drai, Eichal, etc. Just shows your limited amount of hockey knowledge. I like advanced stats. I think they’re a good tool to help measure players in certain situations but they shouldn’t be the “be all end all” solution. WAR is a useless stat made by two clowns. Not even going to get into that again. Keep living in your bubble Mr Excel and maybe put on some glasses and actually watch a game or two

Is what world does using advanced stats make me a troll? The numbers im using are all non-biased while your results are coming from what your blind ignorant eyes have seen on tv. Its impossible for you to make accurate judgements of all 10 skaters at the exact same time. While stats can accurately do that

I watch Guentzel every night too lmao, he never stands out defensively, and I'll trust the stats that show he is on the ice for a ton of shots and chances against over random people on the internet... I'd really like to hear your argument as to why PLD is in fact better, Bjorkstrand had a better 5v5 P/60, better RAPM xGA, better WAR and xWAR, better RAPM GF and xGF... you claim you use advanced stats as part of your player evaluation, but it seems like you only use them when they fit your narrative, even if you do only use them for say 33% of your player evaluation, and one player just absolutely blows another player out of the water, I feel like the first player would probably be considered better (especially bc in most cases it's not like advanced stats are saying a guy with 20 points is better than a guy with 100, it's usually only a difference of 20-30 points which with differing TOI, QoT, and PP/PK time that difference can easily be explained before you get to talking about players defensive abilities)

You guys are both clueless. Dubois is a big body centre with great vision and some wheels and carries Columbus
night in and night out. Not a single level headed person would say he’s worse than Bjorkstrand. But you two bozos are living in fantasy world. Hockey is played ON ICE! NOT ON AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET. Advanced stats are a good way to distinguish whether a player is good or bad. (Except evolving wilds AWFUL model). I use it to show why a player like Rasmus Risto isn’t very good and a player like Marcus Petterson is underrated. But it is not accurate enough to tell you who is better between GOOD players. I see BS about how Gallagher is a top right wing in this league when in reality he isn’t even close. He’s a GOOD player; but I’m not going to use advanced stats to prove he’s better than a guy like Guenztal for example because it’s not accurate enough for that. Advanced stats are good to tell whose bad and whose not. But using them as your “be all end all solution” is just dumb. You should use advance stats with a combo of points, eye test, and what the experts say to come up with your opinion. If you solely base it only on advance stats your views will be skewed (and in fact they very much are)

Geno led the league in points per 60 and still would’ve gotten over 100 points despite missing time. And Jake missed wayyyyy more time than malkin.

Petterson is great, but you’re overating him. He’s not in the likes of the NHLs best centres like Mcdavid, Matthews, Eichal, Crosby, malkin, Drai, etc... yet

Pettersson is better than Matthews, Eichel, and Draisaitl

You give it no credibility because it challenges you to think outside your comfort zone.
