Description

This is how the Blackhawks can remain semi competitive in a flat cap world without trading Saad. Assuming the Hawks lose and do not get the first overall pick (Likely) Shaw would move to the third line. Lafreniere is there only because a fan can hope right? Remaining Cap is meant to cover the expected cap overage from bonuses the team is expected to have from the 19-20 season.

Two buyouts isn't ideal, more worse case scenario. I think that one of dehaan/maata can be traded for a mid round pick and if possible we hold onto smith for the last year of his deal

No its not ideal, but much of the reporting and sources seem to indicate the buyout for both is coming. I don't think you can trade Maata in this flat cap with his high cap hit. He is just too slow for the price tag. I would be slow to trade Dehaan because he is second only to Keith on the team for providing quality defensive play.
