Nurse is a poor-man's top-pairing LHD. Debrusk is going to be at best a low-end second line winger. This trade is effectively the inverse of Hall for Larsson: you've traded the best player in the deal but acquired the lesser forward in exchange for the defender this time.

Boston isn't in much need of a LHD at this time. I'm much more preferential to trading Nurse to Montreal for Domi.

If DeBrusk is accepting 4 million, he likely stays in Boston.

as a Bruins fan, I'm not that opposed to the idea of this but for now I would probably have to say no. There would have to be a good reason for the bruins to make a deal like this for me to agree with it. Debrusk at 4 million is the price I think the Bruins would like which means they can easily keep him going forward.

Problem is, he has been a very inconsistent scorer the past couple years and plays a very unique game. I don't think he's as safe on the Bruins that some make him out to be, but I definitely think he's not going anywhere until they evaluate his game next season. If Krug walks, Bruins have a deep pool on LHD and it's time for one of them to get a shot

Value is probably right, but Boston lacks secondary scoring and DeBrusk ranks top 20 among LW is goals scored since entering the league. Nurse would be a nice add, but Boston is pretty deep a LHD, so much so that they have LHD playing RHD.
