Not a chance we're giving up KK and a 1st for Petry.

So they have upgrade wastly their defense and their goaltending situation from this year and they lose A old Stastny who is replace by a young Glass ready to explode but they miss the playoff. Come on man you are in complete denied. Thisbteam is by far superior to last year team. That defense was trash and they still managed to make the playoff, so with Petry and Martinez they are by far a better team. This is almost the exact same line up that they had this year but a old Stastny is gone you are just mad because i prove you wrong about Petry that very funny to see how desperately you need to feeo that you are right

I mean in a win now mentality it could make sense for Vegas to do so, I'd say that at this price there must be some retention on Petry but it's a fair deal considering KK isn't a prime prospect. The hockey writers ranks him at 8th in your pipeline and dobber prospect has a soso review of him.
"He is big, skates and moves well, but his decision making with and without the puck is suspect. He loses his coverage while defending the rush, often drifting towards the puck carrier while allowing the weak side forward to sneak behind him. Korczak has made some poor decisions with the puck, often throwing hope passes up the middle that are intercepted."
If Juulsen proves to be healthy and /or they find someone else to fill Petry's shoes I'd say Montreal could be in but that's an earlier pick than a 2022 coming back that's a sure thing.

I don't understand how Vegas fans think that is an overpay. Sure KK is a good D prospect but he isn't a ppg in the WHL so he's not a blue chipper. The distant 1st isn't of high value either. I think this is a good trade

I know all about Korczak and that why i made him the prospect in that trade, i feel like Pachal and Corcoran are ahead of him in the depth chart in vegas prospect system. I see Korczak like a interesting project, but he is a B prospect. Vegas have been making move to chase the stabley cup, they are in win now mode with Stone and Pacioretty acquisition, keeping A you g B prospect who won’t have any impact until 3-5 years doesn’t make sense for them since Pacioretty and Stone will be bot in their mid 30

Exactly in most farm system he would wven be a top 10 prospect maybe even not a top 15. He sure have a interesting set of skill but he need a lot of improvement and isn’t near Nhl ready will take time to develop if he develop as well

Vegas has one of the top 10 prospect pools in the league, Korczak is definitely in it and people should stop whining about him.

Pachal and Corcoran ahead of Korczak don't make me laugh.

I don’t see him getting lot more then that he will be 33 years old by the time a extension will kick in and as never been a offensive force. Is number have drop considerably over the past couple season and a three year deal over ten millions in value seem pretty generous.

Vegas doesn’t have no more a deep prospect farm since Glass and Hague have graduated. They don’t have much more in reserve after Dorofyev, Krebs and Elvenes they have a couple of interesting prospect but not much high quality prospect. Pachal have had a great first pro season and have shown promising stuff. Corcoran have been mostly better this year and look more consistent then Korczak in every game aspect. If i am Montreal i would ask for Corcoran before Korczak but i doobt Mcrimmon is dumb enough to trade him instead of Korczak

What other argument is there to go off unless I've been watching him play and scouting him, which I'm not. In the CHL you know alot about players by seeing how they are producing offensively because in the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL defensive play really isn't a thing. That's why when prospect goalies have a fair amount of shutouts you know they are the real deal because the scores in those leagues are usually like 6-4, 7-3 etc etc
