Troy Terry has signed a new contract with the Anaheim Ducks.

This is very good. He was one of the better kids this year for the Ducks. He might not have the same maximum potential as some of the other rising Ducks, but to pay this little for 3 years is very nice. I personally thought he would do 1.25x2, so the extra year for 200k is a steal.

The Ducks always do very good at their bridge deals w/ their rookie talents.

Three years at that price is an absolute steal

Like @Wqrrior , I had Troy Terry at $1.25 for 2 years and then $1.2 for 2 in my last two Ducks constructions, so this is excellent for that third year. I think that he's locked in for that #3 RW for the next few years, and could go higher.

Does this mean he is a UFA potentially aftervthis contract is done?

it says his expiry status is RFA, so I guess not. Hopefully he can get over the bump full time in the next years of this contract

Absolute AWESOME Signing for the Ducks. Stud player at a very good deal. Troy Terry is first class.

I'm not a believer in his upside, but he's an NHL player and it's hard to be mad at a 3 year deal at less than 1.5mil. He doesn't even need to be that good for that deal to have steal potential. If he becomes a middle of the road 3rd liner, that's good value.

He deserves more than this just my opinion good job by Bob Murray saving tons of cap space on a potential star.

there's value in those types of players. But you draft and develop them, don't overpay them.
