So NJ picks up the tab on 9 million cap dump this season and 6 million the following season for Jet Woo and a mid 1st? I think you've drastically underestimated the cost of cap dumps as you'll be competing with what 6 or 7 other teams who also have cap to dump

I think the Devils would accept that. Both Baertschi and Eriksson might have some value to add to the roster what we definitely need. And both players (once Eriksson's signing bonus is payed) have less money on their contract than what their caphits are (which is also of relevancy).

And in 2 years teams will still look to shed some cap, especially all those teams that signed their big RFA's (Werenski, Point, Tkachuk, etc.) to bridge contracts with high QO's last summer. So by then there'll still be situations the Devils can take advantage of.

Take Baertschi out of there and the Devils probably accept this.

Sven would make this Devs team and could be moved for a very small pc come deadline. If u eat part of Loui contract probably the same, although Sutter is probably a better fit. Woo is an old school defender taken in the 2nd. Problem is I can't see Van giving up a first this yr and next, both to us!

As much as you may want to talk yourself into Loui and Sven having positive value on a crappy team, there is still the market value argument. With a flat cap for two years, it's going to take more. As other posters have stated, $9M next season and an additional $6M the following is going to cost more. Eat a couple million in salary, add a 2nd or 3rd.

You are really taking advantage of our cap huh?
I really doubt them giving up another first in '21 but I'll play along, drop the 2nd and add Kole Lind.

No push back from Nucks fans? Really? Is getting rid of Loui that important. Not poking I just thought it would be overpayment, maybe not. Would really like to hear without having a fight about it. Thx
