yes Vlasic at the moment is better than Alzner, but both of their contracts are horrible and Vlasic's is much worse. Longer term for more money.

Toffoli will be looking for 6+ though I feel this is more accurate to his value.

Demelo is cashing in this offseason he will be getting 4-5 year offers in the 3.3-4.1 range way to rich for our blood

At the moment Vlassic is far better that Alzner and if they were both FA I don’t think anyone signs alzner except to a league min hoping he can make a comeback
Vlassic would still garner a 2 or 3 yr 3.5 mil contract.

Now this being said Vlassic is heavily overpaid and the term is stupid still even with all this I still think Montreal says no, especially considering Alzner contract is off the books right when Montreal needs to pay a few of their kids.

for sure MTL decline , we dont want Vlasic contract and Vlasic dont want to be in MTL he will never take is NMC out for MTL.
