I see that you've trade a LD to a team that has 18,000 LD's, in exchange for Sam Steel. That's a big no...

I think they you might be able to get Girard out of there. They are loaded on the left side and I think they have a blue chip project coming up soon.

They have Cole, Zadorov, and Byram. The right side looks good as well. This could be Colorado's all in move.

That's wrong. Cole is a pending UFA and Zadorov is getting traded this offseason. Girard is a long-term solution for us which is why Sakic locked him in to a 7 year deal that hasn't even started yet.

Byram
Girard
Graves

That is our plan at LHD going forward.

And needless to say Montreal fans should forget about acquiring Girard. He's not for sale, so please stop wasting everyone's time with trade proposals for him. He's more valuable than Byram at this stage and is a core part of a contender that relies heavily on his transition game.

I can't decide which is more lopsided for MTL - the NSH proposal or the COL one.

Let's try to break this down for MTL fans... Would you trade Weber, Kotkaniemi, and Armia for Tartar, Petry and a 2nd? I doubt it. Teams want to get better after trades not worse. No from the Avs.

As bad as the Colorado trade is (and it's truly terrible for Colorado given the term involved), the Nashville trade probably takes the prize. The Avs trade at least has a couple of decent players coming back, whereas Nashville just get a pile of hot garbage in return for a great top 4 Dman, a 3C, a starting goalie, and a top prospect. Horrifically bad.

Detroit declines. I wouldn't be shocked to see Lehkonen land a 3rd round pick but not the 1st pick in the 3rd round. The Wings are going to keep as many picks as possible

of course, all Quebec born players want to play in Montreal just like how every Toronto born player is going to go sign with the Leafs when they become a UFA.

None of those trades make any sens…

The Nashville one is ridiculous. No way Habs trade Lehkonen for a 3rd round pick, and no way Colorado trades Girard for two players that will be UFA in a year and will need big contracts.

Saros is untouchable as he's Rinne's replacement, like, right now. Ellis is pretty close to untouchable as we don't have enough defense depth to spare the guys that are legitimately good and until Fabbro really comes into his own he's our only really reliable RHD. Tolvanen is a prospect we can't afford to lose. And you're handing us crappy downgrades for all of them, in some cases at the wrong positions (for example, top-4 LD is not a need on a team that has both Josi and Ekholm). But hey, at least we get Jonathan Drouin, right?

**** right off with that bull****.

Are you sure you want to trade Lehkonen in division that could come back to bite you in the ass.
