Whups sorry Chicago actually won by a long shot. Hertl is underrated and so is Labanc. I don’t think what Chicago’s giving up matches what they’re getting

I couldn't believe the SJ vote. Then I saw the message. Still though. Scared me a bit.

Sharks obviously win this trade because they get Shalunov, Chicago's GREATEST forever prospect.

The joke is that one of the Chicago Athletic beat writers has been covering Shalunov for years and he's still considered a "prospect" for the Blackhawks, even though Shalunov is already like 26.

@bsikora78 Why would San Jose do this? Hertl is the best player in this trade by far. Both of these teams need some help on the blue line too, this doesn't really address any needs.

It looks like a lateral move to me, but one that I don't get unless you're a fan of Chicago and want Hertl on your team lol.

Shalunov and his agent have expressed interest over the past two years of coming to the NHL, so I wouldn't be too surprised if he tries to come over in a year or two.

Fair enough. Since Chicago hasn’t given him a chance, probably with another team then. Just make this trade way less lopsided and it works
