Gourde

Created by: Sabres923

Initial Creation Date: Jul. 16, 2020
Published: Jul. 16, 2020

Description
Teams usually figure out cap crunches, but maybe Tampa accepts this.
Gourde would waive because he’s playing 4th line minutes in Tampa who wouldn’t want to play with Eichel?
I’m just looking for draft picks and prospects for Ristolainen and Montour don’t freak out Devils and Flyers fans it could be applied to any team.

Eh that center depth would be amazing if Cozens pans out. Gourde will produce with Eichel and Olofsson.

Gourde sucks. I don't want any of tampas bad contracts. Go and acquire our 3rd back, and give cirelli an offer sheet they cant match.

I just dont see how picking up a player like Lundell or Perfetti here isnt a better option.

If Perfetti is there they should pick him (I doubt he will be there though).

Lundell doesn't have anywhere near the ceiling of Cirelli. His ceiling is probably what Cirelli put up last season.

Buffalo needs a 2C ASAP and where they are picking I don't see any centres that are sure to be ready in 1 or 2 seasons.

I think the Tampa trade is fair.

The other two trades aren't fair though. Way too many picks going Buffalo's way.

For Montour you get one 2nd round pick not 3 picks that have the value of a high 2nd round pick.

Same with Risto.

Yeah No, If Gourde is moved then Tampa gives Cirelli 3x5 a lot cheaper here in Florida then Buffalo.

Lundell definitely has a ceiling as high or higher than Cirelli. Think Couturier. He is also NHL ready now.

Tampa trade is fair but I think both teams would rather keep their pieces.

I think you're the only one that thinks Lundell's ceiling is that high. His comparable is more like Faksa.

Anyways the value for the Tampa trade is about right.

The other trades are asking for too much.

@SammyT_51 Where would you place Lundell's ceiling?

Hopefully it doesn't take him 7 years to get to that level like it did with Couturier

You trade for him, he has to sign your contact.

If he doesn't want to sign an offersheet to come here, why trade for him?

No I'm pointing out, he would have to sign here if we trade for him or do an offersheet. My point is if he wouldn't sign an offersheet, dont trade for him, he doesn't want to be here.

8oa for cirelli is one thing, but we cant afford to take gourde. Dahlin and jokiharju are due next offseason. Honestly i hate the montreal fans thinking 8oa for domi is in the ballpark, but if it came down to domi or lundell, i would think long and hard about domi. Hopefully its perfetti. Botterill was so bad when he was here, i just dont want the new gm bleeding away value in deals to try to fix it right now.

I love Cirelli but I would accept that trade if I was BriseBois.

But I would prefer Cirelli to stay and move Sergachev if necessary tbh.

Understandable, but they already have too many defenseman they desperately need to improve the forwards.
