No because getting Dumba accomplishes what you need the money for anyway a right handed defensemen. Money for Markstrom will come from trading Demko and a bad contract to Detroit. Boeser will be replaced by one of your young forwards in the system.

Honestly I wouldn't be opposed to having Zuccarello come back he played very well with Dallas but his contract is awful. I see you're sending Donato as well and that's a nice incentive but I think you'll have to sweeten it a bit more. Maybe retain a little salary or add a pick?

Given the injury and season that Dumba is coming off of, I'd be hesitant. He was a beast a few years ago against Winnipeg in the Playoffs, but there's no guarantee he get's back to that level.

Russo said Dumba has looked unbelievable so far at this mini training camp. I think most of you Canucks fans will be begging for a Boeser / Dumba swap after the play in series.

I respect your opinion, but I am curious do you dislike Boesers game, or is it that you would rather make sure the first thing Guerin does is settle the 1c issue before moving any other assets?
I genuinely like your insight and would like your thoughts on it. @TanSor if you have a chance to weigh in I just really want to understand what you guys are thinking.

I doubt Pavelski would lift his NMC to go to Minnesota. Would love to have Zuch back. He was fitting like a glove in Dallas but that contract...We will need that money for Gurianov and Hintz.

He's not needed at all. Wild have a ton of wings already and at least one more stud prospect on the way. Boeser isn't physical, can't stay healthy, and the gap between him and say Kapanen or Kunin (who are equivalent players imo) isn't that large. Put either Kapanen or Kunin next to Pettersson and would their stats be much different than Boeser's?

Or if you want compare Boeser to Reinhart (BUF), would you trade Dumba for Reinhart?

Compare Zucc, Kunin, and Boeser for 5v5 stats this year; you'll probably be surprised.

Currently MN has Fiala, Kaprizov, Kunin, Parise (NMC), Zucc (NMC) as their top-9 wings. Greenway, Hartman, Foligno, and Donato to fill in the other wing spots. Not to mention Boldy a year (maybe 2) away. That is a full house and Boeser isn't a Panarin type of player who you make room for in the roster.

I'd say an offer of Pit 1st + Donato/Greenway + Addison/Menell/Belpedio is the ballpark of what MN should give up in a trade to get him. Basically the Zucker/Pit trade with a sweetener.

Definitely possible. The extended time off probably let him rest and recover from his surgery. Sometimes it just takes a while to feel normal again after something like that.

I just don't think it's smart to trade a premium asset such as an offensive RD for a wing. I get that Boeser is talented and I'd love him on the Wild, but trading Dumba for him isn't smart imo. We're also really full on the wing (especially on RW with Fiala, Kaprizov, Kunin, and Zuccarello) so unless we trade some wingers then I don't see why it makes sense to acquire another. I also get the whole right shot forward thing, but at that point why not go after someone that won't cost Dumba such as Kapanen or Gusev.

Tl;Dr I don't think we should move Dumba for a wing, he needs to be moved for a center if at all.
