Detroit passes easily. Redmond is 24 and has yet to earn a spot on an AHL team. After 3 years of playing pro hockey in North America JP hasn't proved he can play in the NHL yet.

You clearly way off... JP did fine in the nhl he’s in Finland because he wasn’t given opportunity for a bigger role that he earned. Kinda exact opposite of your uneducated silly comment

Really what NHL does he play for? If he is an NHL player why is he playing in Liiga where he is making about half of what he made with his first NHL contract.

Clearly you haven’t payed attention or took time to investigate the situation. Should try doing some homework before making comments like that.

Because he's mad at the Oilers organization for how their medical team treated him during the 2018-19 season. He was playing in pain the whole time and he no longer feels safe with the organization, so he demanded a trade.

Make no mistake I have and he every thing very well in leagues that are slower than the NHL, which means the NHL speeds he doesn't have enough time to process the game mentally. There is no fix for that you can work out perfect your skating or add power to your shot. You can't make your brain work faster doing things over and over only gets you so far. I get you are an Oilers fan and you want him to be good I get it. For me until he MAKES a NHL team full time to me he's just a bust and say what you want but until he does he is just a bust, Nothing you can say will convince me otherwise.

So he's not an NHL player is what you are saying. NHL players play in the NHL, Right?

That’s also exactly why holland won’t be trading him until holland sees what he has in JP until then the ask is a lot higher because holland has zero reason to move him for less.

So he's not an NHL player is what you are saying. NHL players play in the NHL, Right?

He's not playing anywhere right now, much like Detroit's entire roster. He hasn't re-signed in Liiga and has refused the offer of his KHL rights holder, insisting that his goal is to play in the NHL next season. Nothing can happen until the playoffs are over though, so in the meantime, we wait.

And when he makes an NHL team he will be an NHL player but he has never made an NHL team so he can't be called an NHL player!

Um, are we talking about the same player? Puljujarvi has played 139 NHL games so far.

His last season in North America was the 2018-19 season. The last NHL game he played was 02/15/2019 but Edmonton played 25 more games after that. As I remember he didn't leave for Finland until Edmonton's season was over. If he actually made Edmonton with out a doubt there would be no reason for him to go back to Finland. In his 3 seasons he never once started and finished a season in Edmonton.

His season ended due to hip surgery. Were you born yesterday or have you been under a rock this whole time?

My comment was harsh and uncalled for I'd like to apologize for it, so I'm sorry. I do have a question why are you defending a player that said in the media he never wanted to play for Edmonton again? If a player said about Detroit no Wings fan would stick up for him and would just want him gone even if they got nothing for him.
