Honestly, as arguably the best player on Detroit (man I wish that meant more) its a price that you wouldn't want to pay. It would have to be enough of an overpayment that no GM could say no, and at that point why wouldn't Calgary aim for someone cheaper?

Detroit isn't trading him so it would take a big overpay to get Detroit to even consider it.

It would probably revolve around Tkachuk or Hanifin++, but I don't see DET trading him of CGY interested in paying that price

For sure, I just thought given Detroit's rebuild they could maximize his value now especially since his contract is up next year.

Honestly depending on the ++ added to Hanifin I'd still consider it

What would detroit add for tkachuk?

Detroit isn’t looking to trade Mantha so it would require a large overpay to get him.

As Seider53 said he is Detroit's most talented player and he is happy in Detroit so they don't need to trade him. A lot of people don't think he has done anything to make him worth much and that is fine because Detroit isn't trying to trade him. But he still is Detroit's most talented player and it won't be cheap to pry him out of Detroit.

As Mantha isa RFA and the Wings the a ton of cap space, Idoubt they trade him unless the deal is just to good to pass up. The Mangipane and 1st is good, but the uncertainty of where that 1st falls is a problem. If in top 10 I would consider it, but I doubt Flames would give that up.
