As Detroit fan I'd make that trade. Detroit needs a stop gap LD and Benn will be in the last year of $2M contract if it doesn't work out no big deal. With most of the offers I've been seeing with LDs coming to Detroit they all want 2nds and 3rds to me this makes a lot of sense.

I know lslanders need to shed cap but this trade is actually quite interesting. Eriksson is owed less money but just. It opens up room on the right side for Pulock, Mayfield and Dobson. For Vancouver it gives them a better option at RD making them not have to resign Tanev. If im Vancouver I consider this, same with NYI
