I highly doubt that... Kassian brings something Donskoi could never and Donskois productions isn't even all that better.

Take Kassian off the Oilers and welcome McDavids future concussions buddy.

Bingo. Avs can't afford to let someone like Brent Burns eliminate Rantanen and Calvert again.

Again, Samuel Girard vs Brendan Gallagher or Alex Newhook vs Brendan Gallagher. Otherwise MTL says no, so you can’t have him for spare parts

You say No, but on my roster MB says Yes every time.

Except you'll have to find someone not named Kassian to do that job because EDM ain't trading him.

Kulak and a 3rd round pick for MacKinnon, Sakic says yes ... try to make fair trades, it’s more interesting then trolling

Gallagher start with one of Byram or Newhook non less. He would have reach 30 goal once again this year adding to the fact that he is on one of the cheapest contract around the league. And he is also a true competitor, leader. Ryan Graves is a fine players but come on man Gallagher have been a scoring machine at 5 vs 5. He rank 10th in the league over the past 3 season. Mackinnon who is probably a top 5 players in the league only had 7 more goal a 5 vs 5 then Gallagher. That gave you a idea of how good he is.

I agree that the trade for Gallagher in the post doesn’t happen but not a chance in hell he fetches Byram or Newhook.

A thirty goal scorer with is work ethic. If he is made available the 20+ team that will be in playoff contender will want him. There will be a team that will paid that price. If Colorado acquire him and win a cup by guving a primary young prospect they would win that trade all day. Just like they Trade away for a old Ray Bourque. When you have a competing team you must take your chance. Colorado must take advantage of their current cap situation because in 3 season they will have a hard time fitting everyone under the cap and still get that extra depth that they currently have.

In neither the Bourque or Blake trades did Colorado give up prospects of those 2 caliber, hell they didn’t have those type of prospects at all. Those 2 guys in particular and to a lesser extent Timmins, Kaut and Bowers are going to be the production depth pieces that allow COL to sign guys like Makar to big deals. I’m not denying the value of Gallagher at all but COL is in a unique position with their cap space and those guys that they don’t have to chase guys like Gallagher. The quickest way for COL to close their window is to deal young guys on cheap deals for high priced older guys. At least that’s what I think.

The Rangers didn't get what they wanted from Sakic, so they decided to make Kreider an extension offer last TDL. The same will probably happen with Gallagher if Bergevin is holding out for a top prospect and a 1st.

What if the Habs are in the playoff hunt next year though? They can't move all those guys.

Colorado has the cap space, they should just sit back and wait until the right UFA becomes available.

Ok, ok, you win: I've added a bounty of a 3rd Round draft pick to acquire the mighty, All Star, Hall of Famer Brendan Gallagher.

You can choose any other player in the league if you dont like him. We know what we have and are not giving him away.

Avs fans feel the same about Girard and they are right.

You maybe can have Lehkonen for Graves ( most people here would be down, I’m not one of them ), but Gallagher is almost untouchable. We’re talking about Girard or Newhook for Gallagher

gallagher could fetch 1st, 2nd, and ranta or beaucage. personally i think if the avs are really interested just sign him in the off-season. they'd have to move some salary around though.

He's not a hall of famer, but he's one of the best 5v5 goal scoring winger in the league. Don't know why you'd make fantasy trades without knowing the player you want to get.

Let's just compare his 5v5 goal scoring with MacKinnon's

Gallagher 5v5 Goals for/60 3.86
MacKinnon 5v5 Goals for/60 3.85
Gallagher 5v5 Goals/60 1.38
MacKinnon 5v5 Goals/60 1.00

This is most likely a deadline deal? And if so you know you're not getting newhook, byram or girard for him with an expiring deal.. I'd rather wait and take a run at him in UFA

MTL is on the downswing it appears maybe he wants out and a chance to win something

What we absolutely do not need is another defenceman. If this is going to go through, add Mete and something of value from COL

This trade was during summer, he’s not worth Newhook Byram as a rental, but MTL will probably sign him this offseason

Yeah I like Gallagher and would love him on the avs but not willing to ship out those studs on their ELCs.

Gallagher might want a shot to win like craig button describes, he'll be 30 with not a great shot at winning in MTL. Probably have to overpay him because he was underpaid the last 4 years or so

I expect 7M on 5-6 years, hopefully he’ll take a discount around 6.75M on 5 years or 7M 4 years

For months I've been keeping 7M+ in mind, so imagine my disappointment
