Gunnarsson is a 15min 6th-7th defenseman he would probably even be pick up off the waivers

Pietro will sign short term until the cap freeze is over than sign a big payday. At least that's in the most logical advice a player agent can give.

Yeah, on OUR team, that's what he is (and a damn good one). On NJ, he'd be top 4 easy (when healthy, that is).

Bad deal to Detroit. Both those players have trade value but when you package them together, you won’t get a solid return because of their combined cap hits.

You don’t have a clue if he would be a good top 4. Some defenseman are excellent with a linited load charge but can’t handle more minutes. Maybe he would be awful at 20 min a night. He never been use in that role so that pure speculation.

He has been used in that role. He averaged more than 20 minutes per game over his five years with the Leafs, and has spent a ton of time as Petro's partner. In fact, he was Petro's partner for most of the Cup run.
