Why would Dallas trade Faksa for Keefoot?

They probably wouldn't.

Way low on DeMelo. He gets a lot more than that.

No way Robertson is here an playing on the 4th line. Especially with Engvall, (who is a 4th liner), ahead of him.

Honestly, I think Kerfoot would be an upgrade for them. Maybe you're a Dallas fan, so you probably have a better understanding of him than me, but just looking at both player's numbers, Kerfoot brings so much more offensively and isn't far behind Faksa defensively. Kerfoot can play up and down the lineup and both the center and the wing too, so I think he's a little more versatile that Faksa too.

Updated trade with Dickinson might be a little closer, but I don't think he has the offensive upside/ability that Kerfoot does. Honestly, if they can do it, I think Toronto should just keep him. I think he fits well with their play style and in their lineup, but for whatever reason didn't contribute at the level that was expected of him. If they can afford him, I'd want to run it back and see if next year goes a little better.

Faksa for Kerfoot would be fine from Dallas’ perspective. With Dickinson & Dellandrea, his role is easily replaced and Kerfoot brings more middle-6 offense which helps them in the scoring department.

With how cheap Dickinson & Dellandrea are, Faksa is the obvious piece to move especially since guys like Gurianov, Hintz, and Heiskanen are all up for contract extensions this offseason or next.

Kerfoot improves their middle-6 scoring, and Faksa’s role is pretty easily replaced by Dickinson/Dellandrea

At the end of the day, both Kerfoot & Faksa will cost about the same (after Faksa’s new contract) and Kerfoot is a piece that helps fill a pretty significant need for Dallas (scoring)

Maybe throw Engvall in that Sharks trade? Justifies us getting rid of 2 3rds and gives TOR even more cap relief.
