You should be able do better than the Marleau trade. The contract is for twice as long.

Not as restrictive as Marleau’s though. Marleau had a full no move, meaning you couldn’t bury it in the minors, and it was a 35+ contract, meaning a buyout still results in the full cap hit being absorbed by the team who buys him out (6.3 million). Marleau also only agreed to waive his No Movement Clause if the team Aquiring him would buy him out of it, further limiting the team Toronto could trade him too and increasing the cost.

Honestly, if it’s gunna cost a 1st round pick to dump Eriksson, the Canucks just won’t move him. There are several other players they have that are easier to move to make cap space. Kick the Eriksson can down the road till next year.

Ottawa should do this. The Sens should try and collect as many future 1st rd picks as possible.

Try and get as many SJ type scenarios

Needs to be more than that. Loui is not good, and he would be in the way of OTT prospects development. We cant carry Bobby and Loui.
