i literally just did this trade from the rags perspective and the report was that it was in the rangers favor.

Buch is overrated due to his role on the top 6 largely with Zib and Kreider. In reality he is a middle sixer.

Buddy he’s not over rated he’s grown each year and has turned into a top six forward and are u gonna say that every top 6 player is overrated bc they have good chemistry with their line?

I think he's a solid middle sixer, however his point totals mostly reflect him being the product of good linemates. The rangers have done well with that system. This isn't the type of player that carrys a line.

I still recognize that he carrys value though. The picks here can be modified.
I don't think that a top 4 defenseman and a lower tier (but younger) middle sixer on top of a cap dump is a farfetched return. I'll listen about adjusting the picks, but this is not off by any greater than that.

Just to clarify, I did say it was in the Rangers favor under the current circumstances. I think cap dumps will cost a hefty premium in this market, as a bunch of teams want to shed salary and few have the space and willingness. Supply and demand means the cost of a cap dump is high.

I do think this is decent though but would counter with Zadorov, Kamenev, and next year's third for Buchnevich, Smith, and a pick to even out the value. No Jost, as he's a guy I'd prefer to hang onto.

Nix the Timmins trade. He's pretty much untouchable. On paper the value isn't bad, but Timmins is worth more to the Avs than his objective talent.

Buchnievich is a lot more than a middle 6 forward; just take a look at his advanced stats.

Rather keep Timmins and our 2020 1st than trade it for a 2 year fix. We should be able to find a good top 6 forward in UFA or via trade this offseason without moving Timmins.
