What do you think of Derek Stepan in the "right price" category? Arizona needs to dump cap (especially if they have any hope of re-signing Taylor Hall) and he might be a good one-year stopgap while the Cozens/Mittelstadt development sorts itself out. He might cost as little as that 2020 fifth and a prospect.

Anaheim has not merely a surplus but a glut of young LDs.

I’m just afraid that he might be declining. His production hasn’t been good.

I'm sure Haula would be better (he's my favorite off-season acquisition for you guys) but you may need a Plan B if you can't land him or the big fish (Cirelli).

I was happy to see you don't have Tomas Hertl in the "wanted" category. Fresh from their success with Tampa, the Sharks and their fans think he's worth your first-rounder and something significant additional.

Honestly think Buffalos situation on the ice gets blown out of proportion.

Ullmark wasnt bad, get a guy who can play 20-30 games behind him though.

The biggest thing they need IMO, is a bottom 6 shut down line. Get some guys like Marcus Foligno or Sam Bennette for cheap and have a bottom 6 with purpose. This will let Cozens take his time and let the team be properly balanced.

Doeant have to be huge moves to the top 6, now if Skinner doesnt come back to his normal self, you may have to address the top 6 core but you would have to wait and see about that.

The executive staff though, that's where Buffalos real troubles lay.

Buffalo had a great bottom 6 shutdown line Girgenson Larsson and Okposo. They were really good all year unfortunately Girgenson and Larsson are UFA’s and I doubt they want to come back.
