Bjorkstrand and Kunin

Created by: ChytilMania
Team: 2020-21 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 18, 2020
Published: Jul. 19, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
DeAngelo Trade: Rangers trade our best offensive defenseman to Columbus in exchange for an excellent two way forward destined to break out. Rangers get much needed depth and defensive help from Bjorkstrand, and Colombus gets a top 4 defenseman to slot in for them when the contracts of Murray and Savard expire in a year. To help match the value, Andrew Peeke is added and Smith is put in at a salary of 3 million which is dumped on to Colombus for a single year.
Georgiev Trade: Rangers trade a fringe starting goalie to the Wild who have a very well-rounded team, but subpar goaltending. We improve their goaltending situation and receive a solid two-way 3rd line center in Kunin.
Sabres Trade: I've seen trades similar to this one on this website so I just put it out there to get rid of Strome.
Overall, this team is much better up front, but defensive help is still needed, especially on the left-side. The hope here is that Trouba can rebound and become a better all around defenseman under the new system.

I have to think Minnesota and Columbus very easily pass on those deals.

If Buffalo makes that trade, its out of desperation and have exhausted all other center options.

CBJ has the one of the more deeper defenses and needs offensive contributors and Bjorkstrand is arguably there best one.

Rest is okay but don't see MIN doing that when they have Stalock and Kahkonen.

Young starter for regressing $6M Salary Dump for next 4 years? reason why we didn't retain Zucc.

I know. I was being a smarta$$!

However, because of the Wild’s dearth of right-shot forwards and centers (Kunin is best on the Wing but can also play center), i have to believe it would take more than Georgiev to pry Kunin away.

P.S. The Rangers were very smart to let Zucc go.

That Jackets trade is a "go **** yourself" level offer. DeAngelo is of zero interest to this team no matter how much you pump him up - we have absolutely no need for more offensive defensemen - and making us take back a cap dump AND throw in our best blueline prospect to "level" things is egregiously insulting.
