Shaws coming back next year, Mittle has been very disappointing and Strome is worth more than a second. Hawks pass.

Hawks pass. @Shibbal18 if he's LTIR...why wouldn't BUF be paying for him??? Shaw has value with the Hawks as a player AND as LTIR. Heck, that's Horton/Clarke with TOR

Jackets won't be taking back Thompson in any deal, they have no interest in a middling forward, and the Jackets certainly will not be giving up the better pick in any Anderson deal.
There will be enough interest from many teams for Anderson's rights, even with his significant drop off in production last year due to nagging injury.
His talent and upside is too great.
The demand and interest based on AGM trades indicate he will return at least a 2nd round pick, and maybe also either a 4th or 5th pick or decent prospect as well.

Please note the presence of the player you are attempting to offer to the Jackets in this GM entitled "Examples Of Players The Blue Jackets Neither Want Nor Need":
