Vancouver isn't taking on more salary for their cap dumps. The whole reason to move them is to open more cap space up. Not acquiring more salary.

while the blues would probably rather move Steen than Bozak I think they take that deal

Well sure, but theres 2 teams involved here. The sabres can probably take some cap back, but i dont see them adding 6.3 million without something going back.

A third is too much to give up for Bozak and he likely does not waive for Buffalo anyhow. He is best suited in a bottom 6 role and at a 5 million cap hit he is a cap dump by St Louis. He should at best get a late round pick 5th to 7th. IMO St Louis should need to add another player or pick on their end to move this contract.

Vancouver just took one of the worst defenseman in the NHL that is making $5.5 million off your hands. I think that’s a good enough return.

Swap out risto for montour and the trade goes through for sure. Canucks would even add, I’m sure. Send you A pick or something as well
