I've seen a lot of bad Manson to Toronto trades, but this one definitely takes the cake.

And there's no way Dermott accepts that.

with the contracts that dubas gives out, you think dermotts agent/himself will settle for a QO? they gave ceci more than his QO and im assuming they like dermott more. he gets a bridge probably close to 2x2 but i could see him getting closer to 1.5 cause of flat cap.

Dermott doesn’t have arbitration rights this year, it’s a one year deal. Ceci had arbitration rights. Also, if he is interested in staying a Leaf, a one year QO deal may net him more money next year on a better term.

in a vacuum Car wouldnt trade for Kerfoot (yes I know you said anywhere). I might do it if we could find a good winger upgrade with a deal around Trocheck and Dzingel.

i highly doubt he signs his QO.

He has zero leverage. He'll be dealt if he wants a multi year deal for next season unless it's around 1 million.

No arb rights + low point totals = low cap number.
