Values are a bit all over the place. A couple of the contracts seem a bit high, Timashov, Hirose, Svech. But then Mantha is a bit too low, even for 4 years.
Similarly the trade values are a bit off. Too low of a return for taking on Eriksson, but then I would be over the moon (and surprised) with a 2nd and 5th for LGD.

No from Isles, Mayfield is worth more than Helm and they have too many bottom 6 players already.

Only way we take on Helm is if you take Ladd and assets back.

Vegas won't take Glendening unless it's 50%.

And even then a 2nd+ is a bit rich for a 4th liner.

There's a lot wrong here.

We'll start with the signings. Svechnikov, Hirose, and Timashov will all get qualifying offers. This puts Timashov at $735000 and Hirose and Svechnikov at $874125. No reason to pay them more because they haven't proven anything in the NHL. Fabbri is probably a slight overpay but not a big deal. Bertuzzi will be in the 5-6 mil range and Mantha will be 6-7.

The first trade is pretty bad. We could probably get Demko+2nd or at worst a 3rd. Not too familiar with Barre-Boulet but he's 23 and hasn't played an NHL game. We have a surplus of RHD but Lindstrom was a 2nd round pick and looked decent in the NHL at 20. Glendening has seemed to get a lot of interest at a 3rd+ but I'd be shocked if someone gave us a 2nd for him. Last trade makes no sense because the Islanders are looking to clear cap space.

Why would we do that trade? ABB is our best prospect.
