Vegas just locked up Carrier. They're not looking to move him.

Yup, that trade isn't happening. He wouldn't even need to think about acquiring Pesce if he didn't make that silly Leafs trade. That started the ball rolling...

The Buffalo trade is a loss for Edmonton too. Jones alone has at least twice the value of Lazar.

Why would you want to move Bear? Hasn't he been pretty good this year?

Change for changes sake / the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence / etc.

Bear was very good this year, proving competent on the 1st pairing as a rookie. No reason for Edmonton to consider moving him.

Isn't patrick's nhl career over
Way too much for carrier
Carolina is contending so they wouldn't do this
way too much for lazar

may just be playing well to get a good contract then could fall off. I have seen many cases of that happening with defenseman.

I love kappy but I don’t think I could pass up that offer... so it probably isn’t a good idea for the oilers.

Broberg has surprised a lot of observers in camp, myself included. Maybe his ceiling is higher than I thought.

(I don't think this changes the plan for him to play in SHL next season though.)
