Spector is doing what he does, he carries water for the Oilers Management group.
They were getting a lot of slack on the Broberg pick back then and after recently prospect rankings, they were getting slack again

He has been extremely impressive thus far at camp. Couple end to end rushes in scrimmage. Wouldn’t read much into it just because one LD and the other is RD. But today broberg is opening more eyes than bouch even tho I really believe bouch will be the better of the two.

hes doing his job, does their dirty work for them and then he gets his perks of team access etc etc.
Edmonton media is just so bad at doing this. Staples, Spector, Matheson....they all do it

matheson likes to troll a lot
Spector just tries to suck up to the organization too much
and don't get me started on staples

Another factor to consider is when players go over seas we don’t see their progression or strengths or much of anything besides stat sheets. Just assume anything players do over seas is next to meaningless because it can’t be translated to the nhl. but that’s where a lot of excellent players crafted their skill. It’s no different that people assuming everything jp does in Finland doesn’t matter but reality it’s an excellent place for development.

You mean Craig Buttons list? Guy doesn't even have Bouchard in is top 50 but has defensemen like Thomas Harley, Ville Heinola, Lassi Thomson, Alexander Alexeyev, Bernard-Docker. Using Dobbers NHL certainty and fantasy numbers Bouchard with 8.8 certainty beats Thomson(6.0), Bernard-Docker(8.0), Alexeyev(8.5), Harley(8.2), Heinola(8.5). Also Broberg has a 9.3 certainty rating so its not just Spector that's rating him highly. By no means does that mean I think he has passed Bouchard but he is showing promise of becoming a NHL top 4 guy in couple years.

Ah I see. Found another top 100 by hockeywriters that has Broberg 18th and Bouchard 25th, I'd likely flip them around in those rankings but at least they are getting some love from people not named Button.
