Well the Wild trade makes no sense for the Wild. No need for another defenseman and giving up a right shot forward while they are at it as well as taking on more salary. Service reminder Fenton was fired almost a year ago now.

I really like debrusk but that’s a very steep price for oilers to be paying.
I personally wouldn’t do that Arizona deal stick with kosk until after expansion draft then explore long term solutions

That deal does nothing to help Boston. Benning used to be Boston property and they never signed him. Broberg is a solid prospect, but Boaton is loaded at LHD, in win now mode and Broberg is still playing in the SHL. That leaves Pool Party, who didn't show much in his first 139 NHL games.

Boston is looking for secondary scoring and this deal does the opposite of that.

Since you clearly don’t value Broberg, the Wild counter with Hartman for Russell and Broberg.

Since MN will lack RH forwards after trading Hartman I say we add Chiasson and Fiala to the trade! cool

Well, no worries there. Don Sweeney wouldn’t even respond. 0% chance he accepts that, as it does absolutely nothing for boston.

It’s not a good fitting trade for either team. Boston would want proven commodities oilers aren’t in position to be unloading prospect pool.

Why would detroit take AA back
Wild don't do that
The debrusk deal isn't good for the oilers

Would you rather protect Raanta or Miko for the expansion draft, me Raanta all the way.

Chara will retire in 1 or 2 years and Broberg can replace him. Boston can sign all the rest of its players with that trade. Lose nobody

Kosk has a no trade clause that’s why I’d wait till after expansion draft to address goaltending he’s fine till then. Any choice in the matter would be pure speculation that kosk would waive to be exposed.

I agree 100% about debrusk deal but AA was dealt for 2 seconds one being for this season and second being for his rights while it would be very unexpected of the wings to do getting a second back now instead of signing would kinda breaking even.

Are you drunk or scared that Debrusk would score to many goals with McDavid?
Wild have tons of cap space and cant find room for their young forwards, and Russell is an upgrade on Brad Hunt no matter which way you look at it.
Detroit needs some sort of NHL players and I am wishing they take him back.

No worries. I’m not against the package completely it’s just very rich considering that. Good target tho

I would love to see DeBrusk on the Oilers...but I think Boston asks for different Oilers prospects/picks IF they are required to trade him (ie. His asking price goes too high).

I look at it as who care about poolparty or Benning, so in my head its Debrusk for Broberg

I’d strongly disagree about who cares about pool party holland really does that’s why don’t think he’s really available unless it was significant offer. Benning is really good constantly improving but Boston is a very unlikely team to be interested. Broberg for debrusk as a starting point I think is an idea that will come up again but Boston fans will need to see broberg play before supporting or entertaining the idea. Fortunately it sounds like he’s really making a case for himself wouldn’t rule out seeing in very near future.

Both those guys are expendable and what would Chicago want for Debincat who put up similar numbers this year. Probably a great pick and a great prospect, which I am offering. Both of them have speed for McDavid and Boston needs to sign a bunch of guys, while Chicago has Debrincat locked up for 3 more years at 6 million, i figure Debrusk will come just under that. Poolparty never is going to play for the us and we need to accept that,

I wouldn’t be ruling out JP returning... His agent was the one who made demands and he was granted it in terms of negotiating with a new gm and a new coaching staff. Holland was very clear in wanting to bring back and in all fairness to holland he hasn’t had an opportunity to do so yet. Going to Finland was a commitment he wasn’t going to come back before the deadline to qualify for playoff action and it wouldn’t make sense for holland to even try after that just to have sit out when games mean the most. Wouldn’t suspect holland or JP would want to sign a deal without knowing when next year is expected to start. Most likely jp ends up resigning in Finland to get playing sooner and when next season is announced that’s when a deal would be made. Coaching staff and gm proved with yam and bear that youth will be given opportunity unlike before and the anchor he was constantly attached to is in Calgary doesn’t hurt. Really wouldn’t be ruling that out so quickly. I’ll agree benning is expendable but he’s also a very good young rd that a lot of teams should be calling for Boston happens to be one I don’t see wanting. Comes down to broberg for debrusk which I don’t think is bad value wise just broberg needs to show nhl readiness and Boston losses key ufa or chara retires for talk to get serious

They already have Vaak who they are very high on. They also have Grz, Lauzon, Zboril, Ahcan & Wolff who all play the left side. This also doesn't include Krug if they were to re-sign him.

Again the deal doesn't address Boston's need for secondary scoring
