Throw in Meier instead of Merkley and change the 2020 1st to the 2021 1st.

Buffalo just fired all their scouting staff. I doubt they'd want to stock up picks in this year's draft.

Not sure if Buffalo does it because they are very attached to Eichel but the value is there if Hertl re-signs.

Eichel wants out of Buffalo as much as Matthews wants out of Toronto, or Gaudreau wants out of Calgary. Don't say things with zero proof like they're facts

Speculation. It's highly unlikely he goes anywhere for at least five more seasons. Buffalo can't hope to get an equitable return, and the acquiring team would have to eviscerate itself in order to acquire him. The cost would be so high to his new team that his best chance to win comes by staying where he is and being patient with the Sabres.

Whoa dude chill out. Both those other random players we aren’t discussing have made the PLAYOFFS multiple times in their career,

Eichel- “ it's been a tough couple of months, it's been a tough five years with where things have went”.

Face it man he wants out

Hahaha. Factor in that that’s not true. He never requested a trade and has publicly stated he wants to stay and help fix this. Eichel trades are a non-story in Buffalo.

Sounds like frustration. Even if he does want out which is unlikely Sabres don’t have to trade him. Ristolainen has been asked to be traded two years in a row and he’s still on the team and playing.

Eichel definitely wants out. It's his own fault for signing an 8 year deal though. I'm not sure they move him even if he requests a trade.

top 6 center top 6 LW/RW top 4 Defenseman 2 first round picks and a B prospect super unlikely.

1- being upset about losing, doesn’t necessarily equal “wanting out”

2- even if he did “want out” the Sabres have him under contract for 5 more years, so they don’t HAVE to trade him until they get a deal they really like

3- if the Sabres do decide to trade him, they’ll get a TON in return. Players like Eichel are rarely traded, and there would be MANY, MANY teams that would be bidding on him.
And if u really wanna get him, you’re gonna have to BEAT all those other offers

You’ve erased the trade, so idk what you had?
But this is what i think it would take:
-start with what u think would be a “fair” trade
-now add another very good piece bc there’s no way the Sabres would move him unless it was an overpayment
-then add (AT LEAST) another very good piece bc you’re gonna have to outbid all the teams trying to get him

So where does that get you?
I’d say it would be minimum or the equivalent value of FIVE 1st round picks... at least

Well, Eichel is under contract for 5 more years and the team doesn’t have to trade him, so I’d imagine they’d want a superstar in return. Eichel can’t be the runaway best player in the deal. Otherwise, the Sabres have no reason to trade him, even if he did ask to get out (which he didn’t).
