Lundestrom would cost a similarly valued RHD or the VGK 2020 1st probably

McAvoy is already Boston's #1D at 22yr old. It would take a massive overpayment and no-brainer deal. They'd need a young top 4 RHD to replace him and are looking for secondary scoring on the RW + could use young center with top 6 upside.

No point in moving Lundestrom for two things we have no use for

Can't imagine the Blues would be too interested in trading Hofer, but they might be willing to deal Colten Ellis. He is typically rated as just below or about even with Hofer as a prospect, and is actually a few months younger.

Timmins wouldnt be dealt by himself, if anything it would have to be in a bigger package for a top 6 winger with term. Timmins is NHL ready and plays one of the most sought after positions in the league rn, with COL only having Drew Helleson behind him on the RHD depth chart theres no reason to move him unless Sakic gets a deal he cant refuse

Boston has a lot of LHD already, so not sure how Hauge would fit in. Glass would be a nice piece for sure. The 1st is most likely a late 1st rounder which isn't as appealing. Being that Boston is in win now mode, it just doesn't seem like a package that would be of interest. Young top 4 RHD are not easy to come by in the NHL and the fact that McAvoy at 22yr old is already a #1 d-man for one of the top teams in the NHL shows how good the kid is.

I honestly just don't see Boston moving McAvoy unless he demands a trade. I think he's going to be a guy that breaks the norm of people not making more than Bergeron. The following season I expect Pasta to become the highest paid player in Boston.

Yeah i think mcavoy is about as untouchable as a player may get on the bruins roster. for the reasons above. I dont think you can put a price on that as he just flat out isnt available.

It would have to take alot to get carlo too. I think Boston got incredibly lucky drafting both carlo and mcavoy. and having them both be so successful this early in their careers. You dont just get rid of 22 and 23 year old defenseman when they produce like they do for the bruins.

You gotta take into account the team needs. The bruins are a cup contender, so the value doesn’t matter so much as how it makes them better. If you want them to trade their top d men, they need to get better. Realistically, that’s just not going to happen.
