Looks like a pretty decent Eichel offer.

OTT accepts. Very fair trade and works well for both teams. Nicely done.

Lol I think he’s hugely over valued on this site. He’s a great player but if paying that steep of a price for one asset and adding 10 million to cap one would think it would be for a player that’s actually won or accomplished something noteworthy....

I wouldn't say hugely over valued. He's a star, who has put up star numbers. There's not a lot he can do about the sieves the Sabres have had in net. He's also not actually on the block. The Sabres have little to no reason to move him, so if they moved him, there'd have to be an overpay. You're right though, working $10 mil into a teams cap would be tough.

don't you think that *if* Buffalo traded Eichel, a player like Zib would be worthless coming back?
he only has 2 years left until UFA and by the time Buffalo would be ready to compete, Zib will be trending toward the downside of his career, even if by the grace of God he stayed in Buffalo.
Buffalo trading Eichel would be the sign of a true rebuild which would mean picks and prospects in return - maybe some depth players, not top 6 forwards.

one of buffalo’s biggest fears? a repeat of the ROR trade.
trading jack eichel would send this team into a 2-3 year hardcore rebuild. young players and picks would be the ideal route to take on the eichel trade. the sabres are scared of that though because they want definite star players coming back for eichel. they can’t afford the gamble on the prospects and picks. with the ROR trade we got absolutely embarrassed. a B prospect, 31OA, 2 players that are no longer in our organization. that’s the sabres biggest fear right there. who knows that those picks could turn into. who knows if those prospects will develop correctly. with the sabres development history odds are those players will develop very poorly.

Good offer, but I need to sell it to the fans.
Make all of the picks this year and I can present this as a redo which will see results in just 2 years.
I know the Rangers are giving up a lot, but it is all prospects and picks except for Strome. I could see them making this trade.

there is absolutely no way that ziba is going back. Currently he yields more value and looks to continue for next few years. He also produces better and has better stats not to mention much better contract. This is already an overpayment remove Kakko and its somewhat fair either chytil or anderson would be added.
