Maybe add a couple 1sts... and then come up with a reason that Columbus would want to trade a cornerstone D.

It’s funny how everyone on here talks about how much Jones sucks in relation to all the other top RD players in the league yet everyone wants to trade for him (especially Montreal and Toronto). Go figure.

More silly extension talk. Even at the absurdity of asking your top player to sign an extension so he can be traded, no player can be extended two years away from his expiring contract.

Well I've never seen such silly comments. As a MTL I fully understand how good he is and that he is next to untouchable.

IMO Werenski is a more polarizing player.

Also shoutout to Savard who's out of the spotlight but is very good in is own zone.

Now can you trade us Murray for cheap already plz?!??

Montreal needs significant improvement all around but most notably on offense. They need to move pieces to have some top end talent up front and building a support around them. Instead they have a mediocre forward group

Agree with most of what you say.
Werenski, though, I'm not sure why he is polarizing.
He is very solid top pair LD and only getting better, and seems to be a good team player.
Fairly durable too.
I would love to trade you (or anyone) Murray.
When healthy, Murray is a top pair quality. He reads the play fast, plays fast, moves the puck quickly tape to tape, or can skate the puck out of trouble too.
Due to various injuries over the years, he averages about 50 games per year in his career.
I would want a 2nd for him, plus an additional pick conditional upon whether he plays 50 or more games. (say, a 6th if he doesn't that converts to a 3rd if he does).
(Honestly, aside from scoring goals, I think Murray (when healthy) is better defensively than Werenski).
Your thoughts on the trade offer?

Well, you kind of demonstrated my point by not beeing sure who between Werenski and Murray is your top pair Dman. The first one seems to lack consistency (still young though) , the second one had to relearn how to get out of bed not to injure his back (I read an article on it).

IMO you could still get more than a 2nd for Murray (if injury prone Shaw was traded for a 2nd and a 3rd, and Petry was acquired for a 2nd and a 5th ...). MTL have cap issues though.. Could we interest you in Byron and a 3rd (become a 2nd if resigned) ?
