The Oilers could add caleb Jones and 2 third rounders, would that be enough maybe another pick/prospect?

Andersson has major foot speed issues and OILERS are aware of that and dont want him at all. Strom we should never have traded and we do not need more D. The deal is wrong for us.

The ask is a first and prospect. Honestly don’t see any reason why holland would bend from that. He seems to have intentions to bring him back and I doubt he would come out and say that without already feeling out the situation so I’d expect him back. He fills a hole in line up as a young top six winger and won’t break the bank. The issues between him and the club are all removed if he wants to prove his worth in nhl where better than next to best player on the planet all he needs to do is outplay kass. I really don’t think he’s really in play and would take one of those firsts and andersson which I know sounds way too much that’s why it’s very unlikely anything happens which works in Holland’s favour.

Inflation can suck my dong, really.

The most I'd pay for the guy is a 2nd.

Why would holland sell for less? Any team interested would be doing so for a top six role so your not going to sell him as a depth piece doesn’t make any sense. Ask is high for a reason zero reason to drop it zero urgency to do anything.

Yea oilers fans r wilddddd lias and a 4th is the most rangers would trade. Love how Oiler fans are like I don’t see why Holland would bend from a 1st and prospect... for the same reason everyone isn’t paying that poolparty needs some developement work and he has the same disaplanary issues as lias

The Rangers don't really have room for PJ anymore...we have Buch, Kakko, Gauthier now, and Kravtsov coming up. He doesn't fit unless we trade one of them.

The only one we would trade would be Buch...and the price for Buch would be something like PJ+2+3 for Buch.

EDM : NYR incl PJ just doesn't work anymore.

Because no one is paying that price at it's current state.

By the same token, if he declines to join EDM team (which I certainly hope), his value is going to keep dropping as he ages. At 22 he can still be considered a decent prospect. At 24+, if he doesn't smash it in Finland, no one will be interested to pay nothing but scraps for his rights. Probably not even that.

It's like the Bracco effect, really. Leafs fans widely considered him to be a great prospect last year after scoring in high rate in AHL at 22, valuing him even as high as a first rounder. Now after a bit weaker season at 23, they'd settle for a 5th.

Granted it doesn't mean anything in actual business, but one could consider it a fact that no one is interested to join Pulju sweepstakes at it's current price. If teams were, he had already been traded.

A guy who’s foot speed will prevent him from ever having any impact in a league that’s constantly trending faster and a fourth for Jp is a complete joke and really need to do research on what happened with jp. He didn’t fail to make the team he didn’t struggle anymore than everyone else that played with lucic and was hurt for a good chunk of it.

Jesse Puljujarvi is a cry baby, shown nothing in the NHL or AHL and has attitude issues. Lias Andersson is a cry baby, shown nothing in the NHL or AHL and has attitude issues.

A hockey trade is all that has to be discussed here. 1v1 or it’s lopsided for whoever gets the extra assets. Strome would literally hang himself before he gets on that plane back. He was awful in Edmonton.

Disagree there hasn’t been a chance for a trade or for him to come back. No team is doing the trade mid season to have him come and not qualify to play in post season. No team outside playoff would because the ask could be lottery pick. Anything was to happen it’s an off-season deal which we haven’t gotten to yet

Any pick not in the top-10 is pretty much a hail mary anyhow. Trading that for a more mature player at least gives you some certainty.

There are no "disciplinary issues" with Puljujarvi. None.

Pretty sure this is Holland's play here. He wants Jesse back with the team because he knows Jesse can only rebuild his value so far in Liiga, he has to prove himself in the NHL before someone will pay top dollar for him.

I mean last offseason there was a chance...granted his season back then was pretty poor, unlike this year.

Still wouldn't pay more than a 2nd for him. 1st is too risky for a guy who's first stint in NHL was a farce when you consider the expectations.

If, and only if, Pulju declines to join EDM, then it's going to be a buyers market. The leverage is mostly gone as they're forced to sell him in order to gain something.

If Holland can convince Pulju to join their team, then this point is moot and we're in completely different situation.

Last offseason he was coming off double hip surgery and nobody knew how that would affect his skating. Sure he could have been traded but the market would have been severely muted due to health concerns.
